Catherine Blasi, 91, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2006. Mrs. Blasi was born on December 4, 1914 in Sunnyside, UT. She lived in Roy, NM from 1923 until 1989, and in Albuquerque the last few years of her life. The birthplace of both of her parents was Italy. Catherine was a beloved wife, grandmother and mother-in-law. She and her husband, John (deceased) and brother-in-law, Dominic Blasi (deceased), owned and operated a grocery store, a farm, a Ford garage, and a truck line in Roy. She is survived by two sons, Tony Blasi and wife, Peggy, of Albuquerque; Chris Blasi and wife, Denise, of San Manuel, AZ; ten grandchildren, Anthony Blasi and wife, Josephine, Paul Blasi and wife, Shannon, Dean Spear and wife, Jennifer, Cindy Schreiber and husband, Mike, Kenneth Blasi and wife, Terry, Craig Blasi and wife, Roxy, Christian Fry, Brian Blasi and wife, Marci, Chris Blasi and wife, Jennifer, John Blasi and wife; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Blasi; son, Joe Blasi; daughters, Virginia Spear and Ruby Blasi; and her brothers, Nate Molinaro, Dan Molinaro, and Joe Cuccimilo of Salt Lake City, UT. Pallbearers will be Anthony Blasi, Paul Blasi, Dean Spear, Kenneth Blasi, Craig Blasi, Brian Blasi, Chris Blasi, and John Blasi. Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Sunrise Funeral Options. A Graveside Service will be celebrated in Roy, NM on Monday, August 14, 2006, followed by the burial at the Roy Cemetery.
