Obituary for TURICIANO

Joe Turiciano passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2006, at the age of 80. He grew up in Rockford, IL, but resided in Albuquerque since 1965. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Before retirement he owned and operated NM Marble & Tile in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Joe was an active member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie; two sons, Joe Turiciano and wife, Debbie of Santa Fe and Angelo Turiciano and wife, Barb of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Angelo Turiciano of Tucson, Sam Turiciano, Becca Turiciano, and Nic Turiciano, all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mae Doyle and Josephine Varalli; and brother, Nino Turiciano, all of Rockford, IL. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Angela Turiciano; sister, Sarah Vaughn; and brother, Sam Turiciano. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all relatives and friends who were so kind and supportive during this difficult time. A special "thanks" to the Presbyterian Hospice Center. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, 12:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE.
