Obituary for TORRES

Jose Ignacio Torres, 72, longtime resident of Albuquerque, originally from Taos, went home to our Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; six children, Emily, Loretta and husband, Dennis, Berlinda, Peggy and husband, Gabriel, Pamela and husband, George, and David and wife, Susan; nine grandchildren, Leslie, Valerie, Amanda, Aaron, Michael, Elias, David, LeaJo, and Mathias; one great-grandchild, Jameson; two brothers, Elden and John Torres; and many extended family and friends. Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his parents, Jacobo and Manuelita; in-laws, Clemente and Maria; and his brothers, Octaviano and Julian. He was a hard working carpenter and rancher and loved walking, spending time in the outdoors and socializing with everyone that came his way. Mr. Torres was also a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, 9:00 a.m., at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th Street NW.
