Nemesina Baca, age 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, went home with our Lord, Monday, July 31, 2006. She was born in La Jara, NM; and was a resident of Albuquerque. Nemesina was an active member of the Catholic Church; Blue Army, and Las Carmelitas of Mt. Carmel Mission. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and caring for her rose garden, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Nemesina is survived by her loving daughter, Theresa Sanchez and Jeremaiah Anderson; one granddaughter, Bernadette Sanchez and Mario Martinez; step-son, Julian Baca and wife, Camilla; her loving siblings, Andres Maestas and wife, Carolina, Alex Maestas and wife, Texann, Bennie Maestas and wife, Reina, Petrita Lucero and husband, Pete, Maria Garcia, Ella Hill, Lucinda Chavez, Dolores Lovato, and Susie Segura; sisters-in-law, Fannie Maestas and Mellie Maestas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Nemesina will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitations will be today (Wednesday) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary for Nemesina will be recited Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Maestas, Xavier Lovato, Alexander Maestas, Steve Garcia, Ronnie Maestas, and Joseph Chavez. Honorary bearers will be Bernadette Maestas, Andrea Montoya, Brenda Marquez, Mency Lovato, Liz Rue, Julia McClain, and Evelyn Arguello.
