Connie F. Nickolds passed away July 24, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 79 years old and is survived by her loving husband, Edward C. Nickolds of Albuquerque. Connie and Ed just had their thirty-third wedding anniversary on July 21. Other surviving family members include her three children, Henry C. Simpson of Knoxville, TN, Frances J. Guiles of Escondido, CA, and Edward V. Simpson of San Francisco, CA; her two sisters, Melba J. Young of Reno, NV, and M. Dolores Gutierres of Albuquerque; and her aunt, Vera Padilla of Albuquerque. She was predeceased by her parents, Josephine M. Chacon and Vicente A. Otero. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., Albuquerque, followed by a brief burial Service at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Friends and family are invited to share their memories at the Memorial Service and to attend the burial Service.
