Vernon R. Nelson, resident of La Vida Llena Retirement Community, age 87, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on January 30, 1919 to Anton E. and Louise H. Ladwig, Nelson in St. Paul, MN. Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Arline Nelson for 60 years of marriage; he has one beloved daughter, Anita Scheunemann and husband, Roger of Albuquerque, NM; also a special nephew, Roland Holbrook of Cottage Grove, MN. He was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Holbrook of Mora, MN. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel with Pastor George P. Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
