Mary Esther Padilla, 56, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, July 17, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Josephine Padilla. Mary Esther is survived by her sisters, Helen Barela and husband, Larry, Martha Padilla-Garcia and husband, Juan and Barbara Padilla; brother, Ernest Padilla Jr. and wife, Gloria; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. At an early age she volunteered her services at Casa Angelica and later retired after 20 years of service at Presbyterian Hospital. Memorial Services will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center on the University of New Mexico Campus, 1815 Las Lomas NE. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Following the Mass, burial will take place at Pajarito Cemetery on South Coors.
