Obituary for DELGADO

Victor Salaiz Delgado, born June 15, 1935, passed away this Saturday, July 8, 2006 from a five-year fight with cancer. Beloved husband of 46 years to his late wife, Norma S. Delgado, whom he helped fight the same disease for three years, and passed away on March 1, 2001. Son of Eugenio and Hortensia Delgado. He was preceded in death by both his father and mother; brother, Magdaleno; and sisters, Amada and Bertha. He is survived by his brother, Paul Delgado; and sister, Hortensia Delgado. Loving father of, and survived by, six children, Manuel Delgado, Thomas Delgado, Andrew and wife, Teresa Delgado, Susan Delgado, Teresa Frankel, Marianne and husband, Monty McDuffie. Grandfather of seven, Edward, Elizabeth, Brittany, Jennifer, Mariah, Matthew, and Trinity. Victor was a veteran of the United States Air Force with 22 years of service; this includes his tours of duty overseas and his service in Vietnam. He has been a resident of Albuquerque since January 1971, and retired from the military in 1974. He went on to continue his education earning his associates degree from University of New Mexico after which he worked for and also retired from Honeywell Corporation in 2001. Service will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 6:00 p.m.
