Obituary for SANDOVAL

Ernest B. Sandoval, born May 20, 1926, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at a local hospital after a short illness at the age of 80. He was a life-long resident of Albuquerque, a Catholic, and a veteran of WWII. As a young man he became employed by Ward Anderson Printing and retired as a pressman from Valiant Printing after many years. During his employment, he served as President of the Pressman's Local Union and participated in promoting the New Mexico Magazines. He is survived by his sister, Francesca B. Sandoval of California; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews from Florida, Wyoming, California, Colorado, Connecticut, and New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blas Sandoval and his sisters, Pearl, Mabel, Dolores, and Angie. A Mass will be held Monday, July 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Services are under the care and direction of: Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE.
