JOHN H. Dr. John H. Gieske, age 67, passed away Monday, June 19, 2006. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, he retired from Sandia National Laboratories. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Helen Gieske; children, Dr. Theresa McEntee and husband, Jim of Bisbee, AZ, David Gieske of Albuquerque, Karen Johnston of Albuquerque, Dr. Donna Miles and husband, Thomas of Richmond, VA, Amy Merdes and husband, Robert of Raleigh, NC, Laura Gieske of Albuquerque, Richard Gieske of Albuquerque, and Beth Gieske of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren; six brothers; two sisters; other family members and beloved friends who loved and will miss him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society, P.O. Box 27270, ABQ, NM. 87125-2720. Memorial Services are pending.
