Obituary for BACA

VIOLA B. Mrs. Viola B. Baca, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home June 20, 2006 where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Leroy Barboa. She passed away surrounded by her family following a long illness. Our beloved mother, Viola Baca, has left us and is now on her new journey with the Lord. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Candido and Nicanora Baca; her loving and husband of 64 years, Andres G. Baca who passed away on December 28, 2004; her brother, Liberato Baca; a sister, Clorinda Serna; daughters, Gloria Baca and Gloria B. Turner; and a grandson, Rickie Barboa. Viola is survived by her five children, Candido Baca and wife, Jackie, Theresa Barboa and husband, Leroy, Andy Baca Jr., and wife, Connie of T. or C., Ernestina Baca, Lawrence Baca and wife, Terri; a brother, Ray Baca and wife, Delfinia; a sister-in-law, Lydia Baca; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Viola was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitaiton for Viola will be Thursday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Friday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Pl. NW, with a Communion Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. by Deacon Jerry Hieptas. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Andres G. Baca and grandson, Ricky Barboa. Pallbearers will be Randy Barboa, Leroy Barboa, Eric Garcia, Paul Baca, Jimmy Baca, Mario Griego, and Little Eric Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
