Eloy Vicente Baca, born September 6, 1920 in Belen, NM,went to be with the Lord June 20, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tranquilino and Antonia Baca; a brother, Gillie; and a sister, Elsie. Eloy served in the Army as an MP during World War II. After the war he moved to Los Angeles where he owned a business. Upon his return to Albuquerque, he was cared for by his devoted brother, Gillie. He is survived by his brother, Dennis; sisters, Dolores Armijo, and Ada and husband, Charles Chavez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Miguel Lueras, Donald Armijo, Richard Petersen, Charles Chavez, Craig Chavez and Drew Chavez. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Rios. A Rosary for Mr. Baca will be recited on Thursday evening, June 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
