Obituary for FEILD

Ellen Rebecca Feild, 95, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, died Friday, May 26, 2006. She was born July 21, 1910, in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of Leo Christian Ferdinand Schalk and Nellie Rebecca Hood. On August 20, 1932 she married CD Feild in St. Louis, MO. She is survived by many friends, cousins, and extended family. Mrs. Feild was preceded in death by her husband, CD Feild on October 28, 1993, after 61 years of marriage. While her husband was serving in the Army, Mrs. Feild and her husband lived and worked at many military assignments including Ft. Knox, KY, Camp Polk, LA, and Ft. Sill, OK. They moved from California in 1968 making Albuquerque their home thereafter. Mrs. Feild was a volunteer for many years at the Sandia Base thrift shop. She loved to knit and she created many beautiful and unique items for her friends and neighbors. Mrs. Field's cremated remains will be buried with her beloved husband, Friday, June 16, 2006, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
