Johnnie C. Eidschun, age 85, went to be with his God, Thursday, June 8, 2006. He was born in McCurtain, OK where he graduated from High School. Johnnie then served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and retired as a welder. Johnnie was devoted to God, his church, and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mable Eidschun; his children, Wanda Guthrie, Melba Clarke, Johnnie Harold Eidschun, Keith Eidschun and wife, Susie; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Visitation and Services will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW in Albuquerque. The visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. The Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM at 2:30 p.m. with U.S. Army Honors. Pallbearers will be Jason Guthrie, Bobby Eidschun, Kurt Eidschun, Cody Eidschun, Drew Garcia, Lester Maine, and Ben Handcock. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Eidschun, Chris Kidwell, Chuy and Dave Reinig. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vista Care Hospice, 5639 Jefferson NE. Albuquerque. NM. 87109.
