Barbara A. Werme, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at home. She was married to David C. Werme for 54 years before his death in 1996. She was born and raised in Massachusetts before moving west to begin her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Walter Kuconis. She is survived by children, David C. and wife Patricia of Plano, TX, Peter S., Felicia B. Morga, both of Albuquerque, and Christopher E. and wife, Janet A. of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Jessica L. and Rebekah A. Morga of Albuquerque, Vanesa J., Hayley C. and Nycole R. Werme, all of Las Vegas, NV, and Laney K. N. Werme of Albuquerque; sister, Jeannie Knight and brother-in-law, Nolan Mitchell, both of Cedar City, UT and their family; nephew and niece, Rusty and Carol and their families of Massachusetts; surrogate son, Paul Lisle of Oregon; and extended family and friends. She was a dedicated teacher's aide for the special education department at APS. She was a devoted wife and mother; she was always involved in her children's activities and lives. She deeply loved her grandchildren. She will be missed. Memorial Mass was celebrated Saturday, June 3, 2006, 9:00 a.m., Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road, NE. Private interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Vista Care Hospice-Vista Care Sandia Hospice Foundation, 5201 Venice NE Ste.
