Cheryl Cooper Parish Smith was born April 24, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX. She died Friday, May 26, 2006 after a bout with cancer. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Victor H. Smith of Albuquerque; father, Johnny Cooper of Forrest Hills, TX; daughters, Detra and Veronica Parish of Safety Harbor, FL; daughter, Tonia Howze and husband, Richard of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Arlena Dickerson and husband, Jan of Albuquerque; Glenda Evans and husband, Marshall of Lithonia, GA; Juanita Rodriguez and husband, Ricardo of Houston, TX; brothers, Kenneth Harris and wife, Carla of Albuquerque; Dock Harris Jr. of Los Lunas, NM; Patrick and Loren Cooper of Forrest Hills, TX; step-parents, Joan and Bobby Jones of Albuquerque. Cheryl is also survived by granddaughters, Alexandria and Andrea of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth M. Cooper. Cheryl moved to Albuquerque in 2003 after a 30 year residency in Clovis, NM. She is also survived by numerous friends in the Clovis community. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2006, at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd Wheeler officiating.
