Arthur Anthony Ruiz, 72, a resident of Albuquerque, NM for a little over a year, went to Heaven to be with our Holy Father on May 20, 2006. Mr. Ruiz was born on October 3, 1933 to Arthur and Mary Ruiz of Denver, CO. He retired as a Maintenance Engineer from Rockwell International (NASA) in Los Angeles, CA, where he lived for over thirty years. Mr. Ruiz loved to work with tools and could fix many things. His greatest pride was his Cadillac Escalade. He also took pride in himself by consistently working out at the gym. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos! His family will remember his words of wisdom, "Everything has to be top of the line!" His family will also miss him asking with a twinkle in his eye, "Do I have to?", whenever he was asked to do something. Mr. Ruiz is survived by his wife of 28 years, Ramona; their children, Lloyd Ruiz and his wife, Rosalie, of Kentucky, Artie Ruiz and his wife, Judy, of Redding, CA, Rodney Ruiz and his wife, Melanie, of Redding, CA, Kathy Barriball and her husband, Roger, of New Zealand, Marie Antoinette Galindre and her husband, Carlos, of Albuquerque, Marie Jeanette Chavez and her husband, Pat, of Albuquerque, Kathleen Geibel of Moriarty, and Charlotte Ann Vigil of Monte Vista, CO; siblings, Alfred Ruiz and Rita Keller; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Mr. Ruiz will then be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Ruiz, Artie Ruiz, Rodney Ruiz, Alfred Ruiz, Manuel Padilla, and Pat Chavez.
