Michael "Mike" L. Garcia, age 43, a resident of San Antonio, TX and a former resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006. He was a graduate of Eldorado High School - 1980 and attended TVI, Montoya Campus. Michael was an assistant manager for Valero in San Antonio. Mike loved animals, especially Selma and Feathers. He was a master joke teller - both good and corny. Michael enjoyed cooking and reading. Mike is survived by his wife, Rose Sommers of San Antonio; his parents, Benito and Charlotte Garcia; three sisters, Teri Lopez and husband, Carlos, Jennifer Davis and husband, Eric, all of Albuquerque, and Kathy Maddux and husband, Richard of New Jersey; his sister-in-law, Olivia Flores of San Antonio; Rose's children, Patrice and Charles Sommers and grandchild, Michael; his nieces and nephews, Carlos and Elizabeth Lopez, Anissa, Ethan, and Tessa Davis, and Bridget Maddux; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends and his special friends at Valero. Rosary will be recited Sunday, May 21, 2006, 5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 22, 2006, 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee, NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
