Obituary for ALLEN

Lynn D. Allen Jr., 81, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Lynn will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; sons, Gary Allen and wife, Carlene, and David Allen and wife, Terry; daughters, Judy Ringquist and husband, Steve, and Vicki Allen; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren will also miss their 'Boompa.' He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Maxey. Lynn was born August 23, 1924 in Trinidad, CO. After high school, he started a career with Mountain Bell Telephone Co. in 1942. After several moves and promotions, he moved his family to Albuquerque in 1961. He retired from Mountain Bell in 1982 with 40 years of service. He also served with the Naval Air Corps in World War II from 1942-1946. Lynn loved all sports, especially golf, but most of all he loved his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to so many, and will be missed by all who knew him.
