Obituary for CHAPMAN

Bryant LaVern Chapman of Peralta passed away at home on May 7, 2006 at the age of 81. LaVern was born December 19, 1924 in Clarks, LA to T.A. and Ruby (Jones) Chapman. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He married Doris Allen in 1946. For many years LaVern was the mill operator for Duke City Lumber. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters; his hobbies included building, fishing, gardening, and horse racing. LaVern is survived by his wife, Doris; his daughter, Valorie Milosevich of Gold Canyon, AZ; his two granddaughters, Holly and Gemma. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and one sister. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
