Ester Rotharmel House, 88, a 50-year resident of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away April 20, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Earle House, a retired project engineer for Mountain States Telephone company; her daughter, June Davis, a retired public school teacher; and grandsons, Bret, a dermatologist in Santa Barbara, CA, and Bart, an engineering associate in Bellingham, WA. Ester was born in Milliken, CO on August 21, 1917 to a German family recently emigrated from Russia. Although primarily a home-maker, Ester became an accomplished secretary, bookkeeper, and (on occasion) manager of the Garlinghouse Plan Book Agency in Colorado Springs. She especially loved sewing, reading good literature, gardening, and creating artistic drawings and paintings. Cremation has taken place, and the ashes will be buried with the remains of Earle's family at the Evergreen-Washelli cemeteries in Seattle, WA. Memorial Services will be held on May 27, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Wedgewood Community Church, 82101 30th Ave. N., Seattle, 98115, in order to celebrate Ester's full life. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her brother and five sisters. Her remaining family will miss her greatly.
