Maria Burgos, age 94, passed away at home, Wednesday, May 3, 2006. She was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and frequently attended the Barelas Senior Center from 1977 to 2004. Preceded in death by her husband, Gaspar Burgos, Maria is survived by her sons, Eliseo Burgos, Jose Burgos, Crescencio Burgos and wife, Nancy; daughter, Natalia Burgos; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4th and Stover SW, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
