Guadalupita Muniz went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2006 at the age of 90. She was born on November 6, 1915 in Llano Largo, NM. Guadalupita is survived by her sons, Desiderio Muniz and wife, Elsie, Ted Muniz and wife, Alice, and Cecil James Muniz and wife, Margie; Oralia Barrientes and husband, Johnny Joe, Lillian Ortega, and Orlinda Lucero and husband, Pat; two grandchildren whom she raised, Roy Muniz and Diana Muniz; brother, Rutilio Martinez, sisters, Eursinia Lujan and Lydia Paiz and husband, Joe; 29 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Visitations will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Johnny Barrientes, Raymond Muniz, Cecil Muniz, Marcial Ortega, Phillip Muniz, and Lorenzo Lucero.
