William Francis Sefcik, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2006. Mr. Sefcik is survived by his wife of 69 1/2 years, Marion Dewey Sefcik; children, Ellen Sefcek of Albuquerque, George Sefcik and wife, Barbara of Arizona, and Kathryn Carey and husband, George of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sefcik was born in New York City and was a long-time employee of Sandia Laboratories. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2006, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 3, 2006, 9:00 a.m., at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road, NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
