Martha Schuetz, 85, of Copperas Cove, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 at home in Copperas Cove. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church where Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Wagner officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Copperas Cove, TX, on February 4, 1921, to Robert and Selma (Scharf) Krause. Living here, until she moved to Albuquerque, NM with, her sister, Tillie, and her husband Ray Yoakum. On September 28, 1944, she married Edwin Schuetz. Ed preceded her in death in 1989. Martha returned to Copperas Cove in 1995. She was a licensed beautician, owning a shop and working in others for over 50 years in New Mexico. A life long member in the Lutheran Church, with membership now at Immanuel Lutheran in Copperas Cove. Martha enjoyed working crossword puzzles and doing needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Henry, Louis and Enno Krause; and three sisters, Gertrude Krause, Amanda O'Hair, and Tillie Yoakum. Survivors are two brothers, Arnold Krause and his wife Oneida and Alvin Krause and his wife Elaine all of Copperas Cove; sister-in-laws, Ruby Krause of Copperas Cove and Martha Krause of Brooksmith; nieces, Joan Krause, Selma Jordan, Shirley Yoakum, Jan Pena and Kay Franks; nephews, Donald, Larry, Gary and Ronnie Krause; also several great-nieces and great-nephews. In place of usual remembrances, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Copperas Cove, TX or Vista-Care Hospice 2626-B South 37th Street, Temple, TX 76504. Serving with honor as pallbearers will be Ronnie Krause, Larry Krause, Donald Krause, Gary Krause, Roy Krempin, and Cecil Jordan. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.mem.com.
