Obituary for WIGGINS

Lloyd George Wiggins, 88, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 26, 2006, with family at his bedside. George, as he was known to all, was born April 24, 1918 in Kiowa, KS to Lloyd and Adeline (Williams) Wiggins. He was raised in Oklahoma and Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, First Marine Division, during WWII, earning the Silver Star Medal for actions at Guadalcanal. Mr. Wiggins continued to serve his country with a distinguished career in the CIA. He lived for 24 years in Yuma, AZ, where he was an avid car enthusiast with local car clubs and a hospital volunteer. At the time of his death, he lived at Acantilado Vista Retirement Community. The family wishes to thank all the "good ones" who made his last years happy. He was a man of integrity, a man of faith, and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenette Wiggins. George is survived by his sister, Lona Pauls of Fresno, CA; son, Paul Wiggins and wife, Sylvia of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Mary Tuttle and husband, Todd, of Albuquerque, and two grandsons, of whom he was extremely proud, Kyle Tuttle and Ryan Tuttle. Service will take place on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel.
