Andrew J. Montoya, age 59, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, April 28, 2006 after a long illness. Andrew, a caring brother and friend, was very loving to his family and those he knew. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Andrew proudly served in the U.S. Army during with two tours of duty in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe W. Montoya and Veronica "Betty" Montoya; his brother, Richard Montoya; and his sister, Loretta Montoya. Andrew is survived by his brother, Rudy A. Montoya and wife, Cathy; sisters, Rita Edmondson and husband, Troy, Betty Jo Lopez and husband, Bobby, Mercedes Montoya, Barbara Lovato and husband, Constancio; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Calvary Church, 919 7th St. SW (South of Central, go south on 4th, turn west on Santa Fe, take first right onto Barelas / 7th St.), on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. David Atencio officiating.
