Obituary for CAMPBELL

John Howard Campbell, a resident of Albuquerque since 1934, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2006. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Strong Campbell of Albuquerque. Howard was a 1937 graduate of the University of New Mexico. He was a retired employee of the state of New Mexico, Department of Game & Fish, where he worked as a wildlife biologist for about 35 years. Most of his work involved research and management of the various species of upland game birds in New Mexico. He also had a keen interest in herpetology and generally in the natural sciences. He was recognized as an authority on quail populations. During World War II, he served as an enlisted man in the Army Medical Corps. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no memorial services.
