Obituary for MARNEY

Thomas Lester "Les" Marney, 81, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2006. He is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Cash and husband, Delbert of Forgan, OK; grandson, Lester Cash and wife, Megan of Oklahoma City, OK and Thomas Cash of Forgan, OK; two great-grandsons, Aaron Marney and Michael Timothy; granddaughter, Anna Tibbetts of Beaver, OK; brother, Raymond Marney and wife, Pat of Lufkin, TX; nephews, Lonny Marney and wife, Michelle of Anchorage, AK and David Marney of Lufkin, TX; and niece, Joann Marney of Albuquerque. Mr. Marney was preceded in death by his mother, Mae M. Ankeny; grandson, Timothy Cash; brother, Gordon Marney; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Marney. He served in the Air Force during WWII, 1307 Bomb Squad in the South Pacific. Mr. Marney was a court reporter for many years in the NM State District Court. He was a long-time member of the Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
