Rachel Mrs. Rachel Garcia LaCour, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, was taken to her Lord on April 17, 2006. She was born in Chilili, NM on May 26, 1928. She is survived by her children, Elwar (Pete) LaCour and wife, Barbara, SuzAnne Padilla and husband, John, Joseph LaCour and companion, Lorraine Zamora, James A. LaCour and wife, Diana; her step-sons, Manuel LaCour and wife, Ora Mae and John Chris LaCour and wife, Audrey of Natchez, LA; step-daughter-in-law, Jean LaCour of San Antonio, TX; one brother, David Mora; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; her Goddaughters, Consuelo Mora, Margaret Mendez, and Karli LaCour. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben Garcia and Josephine Chavez; her husband, Manuel La Cour; her sister, Estella Mendez and her brother, Nestor Garcia who left this world on April 15, 2006 and decided to take his big sister with him on this glorious journey. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church, 700 Granite NW with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric LaCour, Matthew Padilla, Mike Britton, Martin Aranda Jr., James LaCour Jr., Vincent LaCour, Ruben LaCour, and Charles LaCour.
