Obituary for HARLEY

Robert A. Harley, 74, an Albuquerque native, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frances Harley of Albuquerque; daughters, Sonia Vernon of Albuquerque, and Robert Woods and husband, Jim, of Simi Valley, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas and Zachary Vernon, Joe and Danny Woods, and Jason Harley; brother, Edward Harley and wife, Svetlana of Albuquerque. Mr. Harley was preceded in death by his parents, P.H. and Pearl Harley; son, Michael Harley; an infant daughter; brother, Paul Harley and wife, Alice. Bob was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico. He retired from the City of Albuquerque Environmental Health Department and was previously employed with the State of NM Environmental Improvement Agency. He also worked at Sandia Labs for 15 years. Bob loved the Lord and was a member of Sandia Baptist Church where he was very active in the music ministry. Bob loved walking in the foothills and enjoying the beautiful Sandia Mountains. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by many. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2006 at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution NE, with Dr. Robert J. Butler, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
