Lee Cacy, 74, of Lubbock, died Monday in Lubbock, TX. Memorial Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Rische Beeson officiating. Burial will follow on Friday, 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Lee was born December 9, 1931 in Pampa, TX to Willard and Sylvia (Turner) Cacy. He grew up in Pampa and Natalia. His first job was sacking groceries and pumping gas at his granddad's store in Pampa. At age 9, he moved to Natilia. Lee moved to Albuquerque in 1944. There he met Ruby at church in 1947. He joined the Navy at age 17 and fought in the Korean War. They married August 6, 1951 and lived in San Diego for seven months until his discharge. They then moved back to Albuquerque. Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing. He managed and owned Gibson Discount Centers. He moved to Farmington in 1977 and worked at the San Juan Power Plant as an iron worker. In 1983 he opened the Narrow Gage Gift Shop in Chama. They moved to Lubbock in December 2004. Lee was the best story teller. He loved people, especially little children. He was a hard worker, silver smith, iron worker, pilot, reloader, teacher, backpacking, horse rider and loved God most of all. Lee was preceded in death by his parents. Lee is survived by his wife, Ruby of Lubbock; daughters, Diana Beeson and husband, Rische, Rhonda Cacy, Yvonne Cacy; son, Jack Cacy; grandchildren, Davey Hayes, Trey Beeson and wife, April, Chris Beeson and wife, Nacole, Josh Beeson and wife, Jill, Michelle Lucero, Tanisha Cacy, Tyler Cacy; great-grandchildren, Jenifer Lucero, Taylor Brooke Beeson, J. C. Beeson, Cole Beeson, Cole Cacy Hayes, Jordan Lucero, Cylus Beeson, Jaxon Beeson; brothers, Norman Cacy, Brent Cacy; sister-in-law, Zora King; brother-in-law, Ray King; and many good friends and loved ones.
