Obituary for CROW

Jack B. Crow, 85, a long time resident of Albuquerque died April 8, 2006 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 58 yrs, Rosetta in 1997. He is survived by his children; daughter Loretta Skidmore and her husband Jack, son Jack L. Crow, and daughter Anita Merrill all of Albuquerque; sister Rita Jo Lee and her family of Tucson, Arizona, brother Ronald D. Crow and his family of Lubbock, TX. Sister-in-law Gene Crow and family of Canyon, TX., sister-in-law Johnnie McCarley and family of Happy, TX. And sister in law JoAnn Davis and family of Austin, TX; Jack had five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Crow was a graduate of West Texas State University and served in the Navy during World War II. Jack, Rosetta and their three children moved to Albuquerque in 1948 from Canyon Texas and he worked at ACF Industries for many years. In 1968 Jack and Rosetta moved back to Canyon Texas and opened Jack's Cash Grocery. They sold the grocery store in 1978 and returned to Albuquerque where they worked as property managers for Cauwells and Davis until they retired. Jack was a member of the University Church of Christ for over 50 years. Visitation will be Sunday, April 9, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Services will be Monday, April 10, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will be Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas.
