Martha I. Romero was born February 20, 1936 in Silver City, NM. She passed into the arms of the Lord, Sunday, April 2, 2006, at her residence, surrounded by her caring family. Martha will be remembered by her family as a loving and generous example of the best this life has to offer. Her many friends and co-workers will remember her as someone who cared deeply and gave of herself for others. Martha was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Florindo Romero; her parents; four brothers; and five sisters, she is survived by her five children, Paul and wife, Beverly, Tom and wife, Monica, Manuel, John and wife, Connie, Peter and wife, Bonnie; grandchildren, Lori, Camille, Chris and partner, Brandy, Carlos and wife, Yahaira, Sabrina, Nick, Korinna, Julia, Raquel and Trisha; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sabrina, Evan, Angel and Nevaeh; three sisters, Maria Zandstra, Irene Urvanejo, and Estela Sanchez. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Ave. SE, on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. Martha's family would like to recognize Vista Care Hospice for their kindness and guidance in our time of grief and loss. Also, thank you to aunt Estela for her tireless vigil over our mother while she passed into our Lord's arms and to Gilbert Martinez for letting our mom share her love with him and bringing him into our family.
