Lorencita Tafoya, 92, passed on peacefully March 31, 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Francisquita Tafoya; brother, Nick Tafoya; and sisters, Piedad Perea and Corine Sanchez. She is survived by her nephew, Bishop Arthur Tafoya; niece, Rosalie J. Sandoval and husband, Daniel; nephew, Herman E. Tafoya (deceased); as well as several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, April 5, 2006 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 6, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. also at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
