George R. Gonzales, age 56, passed away in his hometown of Clovis, NM, Friday, March 31, 2006. He leaves behind his wife, Lawanna of Clovis, NM; children, Yolanda Rodriguez and husband, Charlie, Georgianna Tomer and husband, Alex and a son, Russell Gonzales; four grandchildren, Kristina, Desiree, Ellissya, and Robert; parents, Isidro and Margaret Gonzales; siblings, Joseph and wife, Dianna, Patricia and husband, Anthony, Mely, Frank and wife, Melissa, Isidro and wife, Elaine; step-sons, Brent and Brian Toliver; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Davis; many other family members and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him. George was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army having received numerous honors. He enjoyed life and was a great polka dancer. George was always able to make others smile with his great sense of humor. He had a love for jewelry and wore it proudly. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, with a Rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, viewing and visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joseph, Melisendro, Frank, Isidro Jr., Russell, and Daniel Navarro.
