Vicky Padilla, age 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Friday, March 24, 2006. Vicky was born in Madrid, NM; and was a resident of Algodones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Padilla; a son, Anthony Padilla; sister, Margie; and brothers, Santos and Ruben Coriz. Vicky is survived by her loving children, Pablo Padilla and wife, Bonnie, Andrea Lopez, and Liz Lovato and husband, Richard; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; her sisters, Rose Ortega, Teresa Lovato, Dolores Lovato; brother, Inez Coriz; brother-in-law, Vincente Padilla Jr. and wife, Grace; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Vicky will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where a Rosary for Vicky will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Casket bearers will be DJ Sturgeon, George Lopez, Paul Padilla, Louis Padilla, Matthew Padilla, and Isaac Lovato. Honorary bearers will be Jesus Perez and Marcos Guerrero.
