Obituary for KENNEDY

Mary I. Kennedy, a former resident of Santa Fe, NM passed away peacefully in her home in Denison TX, March 21, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Palmer, MA on July 8, 1912. She graduated Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. She married Kirby K. Kennedy on June 6, 1944 in Taos, NM and lived in Santa Fe until 1994 when she moved to Texas to be with her family. She and husband owned and operated Capital Auto Supply Co. until their retirement in 1971. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile Yucca Temple No. 74. She was past President of the Santa Fe Nile Club. She was also a member of the Santa Fe Women's Rodeo Roundup, New Mexico Republican Women's Club, and the New Mexico Cattle Women's Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kirby K. Kennedy; her parents, William B. and Margaret Kerigan of Palmer, MA; brothers, William and Vincent Kerigan of Palmer, MA; and brother, Joseph Kerigan of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Kennedy-Horne and husband, William C. of Denison, TX; granddaughters, Van Ridlehuber and husband, James of Frisco, TX; Valerie Morris of Denison; and grandson, Steven Horne and wife, Karyn of Plano, TX; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Corbin, and Dawson Ridlehuber of Frisco TX; sister-in-law, Virginia Kerigan of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL; nieces, Joan Kerigan of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, Susan Cormier and husband, Chris of Anna, TX, Nancy Miller and husband, Kenny Miller of Plano, TX; nephews, Joseph (Skip) Kerigan and wife, Nan, Tom Kerigan and wife, Stella of Palmer, MA, and Bill Kerigan and wife, Ann of Chicopee, MA; and many great- and great-great-nieces, -nephews, and friends. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Faith with a Eucharist Mass and services conducted by the Daughters of the Nile Yucca Temple No. 74. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.
