NANCY L. During the early morning hours of March 22, 2006 Nancy L. Anderson died in her Corrales, NM home after a courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born in Cleveland, OH and spent her childhood years in that state before attending the University of New Mexico in 1947. Nancy's parents followed her to Albuquerque, opening their family business, Jones Opticians, a venture to which she, and her husband, Carl A. "Chris" Anderson, Jr. dedicated many years of service. Nancy and Chris were married in 1951 and they have two daughters. Nancy was a very talented artist, seamstress and craftswoman. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Daris and Esther Haythorne Jones. She is survived by her husband, Carl A. Anderson Jr.; two daughters, Becky Anderson, of Corrales, NM and Kathy Brubaker, of West Union, IA; grandchildren, Cheri (Lyle) Rasmussen, Christopher "Tophie" Anderson, Erin and Matthew Brubaker; and three great-grandchildren, Connie, Kristen, and Jonathan Rasmussen; and her faithful companion, "Helpful" Hannah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Hospice of the Sandias, in Albuquerque, NM, or to Living Stone Ministry, 300 Main St. Elgin, IA 52141.
