JAMES FAY 1941-2006 James Fay Ellis, 64, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, left his earthly home on Sunday, March 12, 2006, after a long illness, to be with his Lord. He was born in Madison, WI on December 5, 1941, the son of Fay Montgomery Ellis and Marie Hanson Ellis. Jim, as he was known to family and friends, will be long remembered for his love of the outdoors and his love of a good story. He worked for the State of New Mexico, UNM, and DOD as a programmer analyst. During retirement, he found great delight exploring the wide and beautiful expanses of this great state and fishing at every opportunity with family and friends. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Fay Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol Ringstead Ellis; his mother, Marie Ellis of Albuquerque; brothers, Phil of Albuquerque Ted and his wife, Barbara of Montgomery, TX, and Chuck of Grand Prairie, TX; sisters, Cathy Irvin and her husband, Bill of Albuquerque, Janet Elliot of Albuquerque; and numerous nephews and nieces. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
