Mona Louise Self Davidson passed away March 18, 2006 in Albuquerque, at the age of 83. She was born in Thalia, TX on June 28, 1922 to Ed and Ethel Self. She married Richard E. Davidson on December 24, 1942, in Crowell, TX. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1955. She was an extraordinary mother, loving wife, and devoted Christian. Mona is survived by her husband "Dick"; sons, John and wife, Jeanette of Seattle, WA, Rick and wife, Jody of Buena Vista, CO, Marc and wife, Linda of Placitas, NM, Ray and wife, Lina of San Diego, CA; sister, Marion Bettridge of Carson City, NV; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Glenna Coats of Havelock, NC. Mona wrote a quote in the front of her Bible, "It would be tragic indeed to come to the end of life with nothing to show for our lives but what shows". For all that shows and all that you lived and gave, thanks mom. We love you. A visitation will take place Monday, March 20, 2006 from 5 to 7 p.m. at French Mortuary University Blvd. Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at 2 p.m. at French Mortuary. Interment will follow services at Sandia Memory Gardens. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
