Evelyn Burch, 92, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on April 20, 1913 in Santa Rosa, NM to Joaquin and Aurelia (Baca) Gallegos. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her children and grandchildren. She always had a positive attitude on life and looked for the good in everyone; she truly had a servant's heart. Evelyn's loving ways and sense of humor will never be forgotten. She is survived by her son, Richard Burch and wife, Dorothy of Santa Fe, NM; daughters, Lorraine Stebleton and husband, Larry and Lucille Morris and husband, Paul both of Albuquerque, NM; 11 grandchildren, Lorenzo, Ronald, Matthew, Philip, and Paul Salazar; Dannette, Kevin, and David Burch, Carolyn Scott; Danielle Palmer and Kara Parker; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carmen Powers and husband, Ray, Cleo Arnold and Levinia DeRolf. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Eddie J. Burch. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2006, 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 20, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE, with Father Mike Cimino, Celebrant. Internment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
