Obituary for SALAZAR

Paul P. Salazar, loving husband, son, father, step-father, grandfather, and brother, died at his home at the age of 73, surrounded by his family, on March 9, 2006. Paul is survived by his wife Louisa; his mother Isidora Olivas; father-in-law Gerald (Tata) Aragon; his children Vivian Brenn (Bill), Paul Salazar Jr., David Salazar (Nancy). Also surviving are his step-children, Gloria Garcia (Pete), Linda Gallegos (Art), Tom Gonzales, Nici Moul (David), Cruz Gonzales (Darlene), Hope Stevens (Randy); his brothers, Placido Salazar (Lily), Robert Salazar, Luis Espinosa (Helen), Lee Norman Gonzales; sisters, Viola Baca (Richard), Dolores Saiz (Ernest); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and last but not least, Rocky, his long haired Chihuahua. He was a lifetime member and former Commander of the American Legion Post 100. The family would like to pay special tribute to Darlene, Paul's loving very committed daughter-in-law and very compassionate care giver, THANK YOU ! DARLENE. Thank you Odyssey Hospice for the good care you provided to Paul. Visitations for Paul will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary for Paul will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Final viewing will be Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Immediately following the Funeral service, the family extends an invitation to join them for a meal and fellowship in Nativity Parish Hall. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Casket bearers will be Johnny Salazar, David Salazar Jr., Joseph Stevens, Daniel Moya, Jason Garcia, and Anthony Herrera.
