Obituary for MCNEILL

Don McNeill passed away on February 27, 2006 after a long illness. He was born on June 23, 1926 in Canada. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty McNeill of 30 years; his children, Debbie La Pointe, Lori Scott, Toni McNeill, Michael McNeill; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his sister, Joyce Chapman, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lola McNeill, brother, Bill McNeill and his daughter, Donna Barby. Don retired after 30 years with Ideal Cement Company when he and Betty began their own business, D & B Construction. Don was a general contractor and architect where he had the opportunity to design and build many homes in the Albuquerque and surrounding areas. A Rosary for Don will be recited on Thursday evening, March 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 71 Tribal Rd., Isleta, New Mexico. Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning, March 3, 2006 also at St. Augustine Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Los Padillas Cemetery. The family would like to thank Ladera Nursing and Rehabilitation Home for their kindness and loving care to Don during his stay there. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial donations be made to the Ladera Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.
