HARVEY CURTIS SR. Services for Harvey Curtis Markley, Sr., 87, are scheduled for Thursday, March 2, 2006, 10 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Lovington, NM with Rev. Harry Pittam and Stephen Markley officiating. Cremation to follow. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Lovington, NM. Born November 8, 1918 in Chicago, IL, he passed away February 27, 2006 at the Lovington Good Samaritan Care Center. He was married to Lina Cleveland on July 7, 1990 in Lovington, NM. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and was a member of the Honor Guard; he acquired his law degree in Chicago, IL and practiced as an attorney in Lovington, retiring in 1985. He attended the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Lina Markley of Lovington, NM; two sons: Stephen Markley and wife, Candie of Santa Fe, NM and Harvey Curtis Markley, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Pamela Kay Markely of Albuquerque; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Markley; two sisters, Jean Markley and Evelyn Markley.
