H. Nelson Blue, age 86 of Belle Meade, formerly of Albuquerque, died Tuesday (February 28, 2006) at St. Joseph Health Center. A native of Moore County, NC, he was a son of the late Zeb and Mary Rankin Blue. He was a graduate of Elon College and was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the U. S. Solar Energy Association and was owner of Blue Metal Fab in Albuquerque prior to his retirement in 1978 when he moved to Carthage, NC. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Eureka Presbyterian Church in Carthage, of which he was a member, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jean Ganzel. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by wife, Helen Allen Blue; two daughters, Betty Krenitsky of Ft. Collins, CO. and Catherine Bruner of Sandia Park, NM; three sons, Allen Blue of Raleigh, David Blue of Rio Rancho, NM and Edward Blue of Mountainair NM; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage is serving the family.
