Obituary for FUNNELL

James Wesley Funnell Sr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died Saturday, February 25, 2006. He was born June 5, 1925 in Abernathy, TX to Arthur and Mollie (McBride) Funnell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine Funnell; daughter, Mary Lou Dencklau and husband, Les; sons, James Funnell Jr. and wife, Karen, Dale Funnell and wife, Melissa, and Jerry Funnell and wife, Paula; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters. James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who made Christ the center of his life. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. After 40 years, James retired as Director of Manufacturing at Rainbo Baking Company. Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Gary Hamburger officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. James Funnell's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
