Obituary for SAVAGE

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Tuesday February 21, 2006

Esther Winona Savage, born to Sidney and Bertie Mae Dodson, September 1, 1913, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on 2/18/06. Esther married Kenzy K. Savage on May 8, 1930. Kenzy went to be with the Lord July 28, 1999. Esther is survived by her two daughters, and sons in law, Bobbie and Floyd Wheeler, and Patsy and Lyle Jenks; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; her sister, Georgie Russell, and her brother, and his wife, Jess and La Vern Dodson; two sisters in law, Ruth Savage and Betty Savage; and many nieces and nephews, and all her special kids and grandkids from Bible School Days. Esther and Kenzy married when she was 16, and Kenzy was 18. After a short honeymoon, they went to Alvord, Texas where Kenzy was already the Pastor of a small church. Esther accompanied Kenzy wherever he went in their 69 years of marriage before he passed away. She didn't complain or wish for a better life, she thought that she had the best life possible. Family wishes to express their thanks to the Rio Rancho Nursing Center for their wonderful loving care.
