Rev. Merrill M. Kluhsman, age 71, of Rio Rancho, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, February 19, 2006. Rev. Kluhsman was born in Lockwood, MO. to Paul and Viola Kluhsman. He was baptized March 30, 1934 and confirmed March 30, 1947 at the Lutheran Church in Mienert, MO. He graduated from St. John's in Winfield, KS. He later graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He married Joan Graumann on August 31, 1958 in Albuquerque. He served churches in Lynnfield, MA, Grand Island, NE, El Paso, TX, Paola, KS, Cedar Crest, NM, and retired from Neosho, MO. He is survived by his wife, Joan of Rio Rancho; daughter, Paula LeDoux and husband, Mark of Nambe, NM; sons, Nathan Kluhsman of San Diego, CA, Mark Kluhsman and wife, Lisa of Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Jesse Sisco, Samuel LeDoux, and Nicholas LeDoux; brother, Herbert Kluhsman of Joplin, MO; sister, Loretta Herron of Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by son, Joel Kluhsman and brother, Victor Kluhsman, and his parents. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, and a Church Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 12121 N. Hwy 14, in Cedar Crest with Reverend Devon Woodyard officiating. Visitation will take place at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
