Rudolph (Rudy) E. Lucero, age 61, beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, was called home by our Lord and Savior, Friday, February 10, 2006, while surrounded by his loving family. Rudy was a resident of Alameda and member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Virginia Lucero; and a grandson, Gabriel Martinez. Rudy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Adela Lucero of the family home; his children, Julian, Peggy, Edward and wife Lillie, Alexandria Lopez and husband Yusvanni; ten precious grandchildren; brother, Richard Lucero; and many other beloved family members and friends. Rudy will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church; where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Yusvanni Lopez, Ivan Lopez, Francisco Lopez, Luis Lopez, Patrick Valencia, and Gerald Martinez. Honorary bearers will be Rudy's grandsons, Jimmy-Lee and Isaiah Lucero.
